An Afternoon on the Town

We heard there was a temporary ice skating rink in town for a few months, so we decided to take a stroll around town before Shane's family left to go back home.

Christmas 2009

A few pictures from Christmas morning:

The only thing that would make this picture any cuter is if all three of them were wearing diapers!

Lorelai's First 'Haircut'

4 years old, and not once has she had her hair trimmed... no bangs, no dead ends cut off... genuine baby curls!




Until this evening!

Hair brushing time has become such a battle that we decided it was time to see if trimming the ends would help out. The curly ends of her hair would just mat up into large knots, and so quickly... It almost hurt me to cut off her baby curls, but take a look at this kid! She looks so much older now!



If I had my way, we'd cut it into a cute shoulder-length style, but Shane doesn't want to hear it. I think she'd be so cute with short hair!

We had planned on using one of these photos for this year's Christmas card, but we decided to get the kids all together for one photo instead. Those pictures will be posted once the cards have been mailed out.

For these photos of Lathel, as is often the case, I can't pick just ONE to share... each one of them shows a different aspect of his personality, so I have to post them all! :)

Funny Lorelai Moment

Tonight, the kids and I were upstairs hanging out with Angel and Mom. I was trying to reorganize the hallway closet, so there were a few things in the middle of the hallway, semi-blocking the walk area. Lorelai was pushing her baby stroller and came upon the obstruction. I watched her for a moment as she tried to push the baby stroller over the items, but it wasn't as easy as she thought it was going to be. After a few attempts, she said in frustration, "I'm having a heart attack!"

It took me a minute to understand that she was saying she was having a 'hard' attack because it was so hard getting her stroller over the obstruction. I laughed at her and asked, "You're having a heart attack?"

In that short time, she had managed to get past the obstruction, and as she rounded the corner to their room, she said, "I'm hot having a hard-attack anymore."

There are SO MANY of these cute kind of stories, but I have failed to record the majority of them. I am making a promise to myself to do better.

Halloween Cuteness Overload

For Halloween, we went over to Roze & Tony's house, where there was a Halloween party/joint Birthday party for Roze, Tony, and several of the guests.







The devil horns were not part of her costume... she borrowed them from another little girl at the party... if the horns fit, wear them! ;-)






He didn't dress up this year, but did borrow his sister's fairy wings, which made for a super-cute set of pictures!
